Hello,
My name is [redacted], I recently found an ad for a gray drivers side door on car-part.com and purchased it by phone, when I got there they color was not gray it was: Golden Pewter Metallic. The 2008 Chevy Malibu and the malibu of that model and year only made one shade of gray, which is my color, gray, or dark gray metallic. My problem with this is, I was charged a restocking fee for a door color which was wrongly advertised by your company......2008 chevy malibu classic, LS w/ emblem in grille. I'm out $25.00 + tax because of the lack of discovery on your employee's part. Here is a link to the motortrend.com showing of the colors of the malibu.

I would simply like to receive my restocking fee back and give this link to properly educate on the appropriate color listing of this door and whatever else might be out there that might be wrong.
If I can not get my reimbursement I will file a complaint with the Revdex.com because of my findings here on this website.

I would simply like to receive my restocking fee back, there is only one color of Grey for this model of car, the employees of this business should have done there diligent research to ensure they were disclosing proper colors. This part never left the shelf of this facility, I looked at the part that was an incorrect color and walked back into the sales floor where I instructed the sales person that the door was not Grey and I didn't want that door.Desired Settlement: I would simply like to receive my restocking fee back, there is only one color of Grey for this model of car, the employees of this business should have done there diligent research to ensure they were disclosing proper colors. Response:
Hi [redacted]
I just received a copy of your
email. First I would like to say that I’m sorry to hear that you were not happy
with your experience here at our facility. We are working very hard to make
sure all our customers are happy with the product and service they receive from
us.
You said in your email that you
saw the door advertised on Car-Part.com, in the description about the door it
also stated that the door was gray. This is the description about the door as
you saw it and it will also be on your invoice that you received from us, part
comments: GRY, U994L, 000. The word GRY is the color as we see it, the letters
U994L is the actual paint code used by GM and the numbers 000 mean to us that
it is a very nice door. We do not go off the color words that GM uses, we use
their paint codes that they put on every car they manufacture and that code is
on the Service Parts Identification stick located on every vehicle. Thank you
for sending me the link via motor trend but like I stated we us GM’s
information that they provide with every car they manufacture. I have attached
some pictures of the donor vehicle that the door came off of and the picture of
the Service Parts Identification sticker from the car so you can verify the
paint code.
The reason we charge a restock
is because our parts pullers get paid by the parts they pull off, so just
because the color was not correct for you we still have to pay the guys to pull
the door off and put the door back. I hope I have cleared up some of your
concerns and answered all your questions.
Thanks for thinking of us for
your automotive parts needs.
Bob Remington
This is the email that I sent to Greg in response to the one he sent us via face book. Even though we have " GRY " listed in our part comment along with the true GM paint code of " U994L " Greg must still feel that this is not acceptable. Our goal # 1 goal is to have all our customers happy with the service and product they receive from us so we will send Greg the refund he is requesting to the address on his invoice.
Thanks
Bob Remington

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I purchased a used engine from this company. It cost me $2000.00. Installed engine, drove vehicle for a couple weeks and noticed the engine started to run poorly. Had engine checked out and found it had very low oil pressure, and that the engine was no good. I spoke with the business owner to see if they would either give me a different engine, or my refund my money. He told me "sorry, there's nothing I can do for you". I would highly recommend not doing business with this company.
