Review: My wife and I recently placed an offer to purchase a home in Moon Township, PA. The seller agreed to the offer. The house went under contract the same day the offer was made. I provided an earnest money deposit of $1,000 dollars upon entering the contract. The agreed closing date was July 25, 2014. On July 22, 2014, my employer informed me that I was being relocated to Indiana. When I received the news I immediately informed [redacted], my real estate agent, that I was being relocated. [redacted] also received a formal letter from my employer identifying the relocation. In result of the short notice, I informed [redacted] that the seller can retain the earnest money. [redacted] provided a contract release form indicating the seller would retain the earnest money. I gracefully signed the contract release form and only needed the sellers signature on the form to terminate the contract. [redacted] stated he would return a copy with the sellers signature on it. A few days passed and [redacted] sent me a text message stating the seller will not sign the form and that the seller is requesting additional money. I immediately attempted to call [redacted] cell phone. [redacted] did not answer my call. I called [redacted] several times after my initial call; however, I never received an answer to my phone calls. After several failed attempts, I called [redacted] from an unknown number. [redacted] answered the phone call. I informed [redacted] that the earnest money was sufficient and that I will not provide the seller any additional money. [redacted] stated he is on my side and that he will get me a signed release form. On July 26, 2014, the house was listed back on the market and available for purchase. Once I discovered the house was no longer under contract and back on the market I attempted to call [redacted] several times. [redacted] once again failed to answer my calls. I finally received a text message from [redacted] stating the seller has health issues and he is working on providing a signed contract release form. Over the past week I have attempted to call [redacted] several times and I have not received an answer. [redacted] has failed to provide a contract release form and the house is listed back on the market.Desired Settlement: I want to receive a contract release form signed by the seller.
