Car was towed seperate occasions with valid parking pass as I am a resident in my home
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:///
First of all, you mr [redacted], I guess that's ur name. Came the day your EX employee towed my truck by MISTAKE do you remember that??? Or you might not remember it. You told me you had to fired your employee because of this kind of mistake he was making. So lets get it clear: Your employee at that time stole my Oakleys and sure enough you fired him the same day? wow. Also if you remember you also told me you would call me within a WEEK, to let me know the result of you revising the PICTURES of my truck BEFORE and AFTER it got towed BY MISTAKE..... That week never came by, has it??? I am still waiting for you mr. [redacted] to call me with the result of your investigation. One more thing, my Oakleys would had never been STOLEN from my truck if my truck would had NEVER been towed BY MISTAKE from your now EX Employee. So I don't know how you trained your employees, but obviously is not the right way. When I called to have some one explain the reason of the CERTIFY letters I got, by the way there were "2" letters no just ONE. Your so well trained employee who answer the phone assured me that my truck was in your lot,, WOW I had been driving my truck since YOUR EMPLOYEE TOWED IT "BY MISTAKE". So your company wanted to rip me off my hard earn money?, by telling me that my truck was ir your lot. That's your employees second mistake. About you telling to call the police and file a police report, yes I told you what good is that going to do if your EX EMPLOYEE TOWED MY TRUCK BY MISTAKE, I told you is that police report going to replace my OAKLEYS?? So lets get it straight, I sure don't have the time to deal with you or your company, you can keep my OAKLEYs, and about my truck, been SOO old like you mentioned don't worry about it, I will fix it. Keep up your great JOB ripping people off. Towing cars by MISTAKE, because your employees are doing a FANTASTIC job, they are WELL train.

The vehicle was towed for "Taking up 2 or more spaces" as she stated. However, the van next to her did not make park the way she did. After reviewing the pictures of this tow, both spaces were completely empty. The van next to her had one tire barely touching the line; the other...
space was completely empty. She could have easily parked in one space or the other. The towing signs located on the property say that you must park in a designated space. Unfortunately, she did not. I am unable to respond to the damages [redacted] listed in her complaint because my office has never received a phone call regarding such complaints or damages. Her vehicle was towed on Dec. 9, 2014 and this complaint is the first time it has been brought to my attention.
The letter that Mr. [redacted] received was mailed in error. He does not owe Reliant Towing any money for the tow that occurred on 2/25/2014. I met with Mr. [redacted] the same day it was brought back regarding...
his Oakley's. I instructed him to file a police report and have it finger printed. He immediately disregarded my advice and said he didn't have time for that and the police wouldn't do anything to get his Oakley's back anyway. I reviewed the security footage of the vehicle while it was in the storage facility and the vehicle was not disturbed at any time.
After discussing the sunglasses and not getting the result he desired, Mr. [redacted] began showing me damage that was caused (this was not mentioned prior to the discussion of the Oakley's). He was pointing to the bumper saying it was bent. I told him that I did not see any damage. I took pictures and still did not see anything. I pointed out a break in the bumper skirting to him which he stated that he had not seen. This was the only visible damage (outside of the normal knicks and dings you would expect to find on an 18 year old vehicle). After reviewing the pictures taken prior to towing the vehicle, the break was already there.
Accusations of theft and destruction of property is not taken lightly. However, after speaking with Mr. [redacted], I did not find either accusation credible. Therefore, no further action was required.
Thank you,
Reliant Towing

The Person that replied is lieing. The owner of the Company lied in court today and there is multiple harassment charges. Including today. The Austin Police Department is currently looking for the driver that threw a rock at me from the Reliant Tow Truck.
Unfortunately, at no point in the statement did he mention where the vehicle was towed from, any vehicle information, or any receipt numbers. I do not have the ability to look up a specific tow from a place that's next to the restaurant. Please give more information so I am able to...
give a reasonable response.
At present my HOA contracts with Reliant for on-call towing services. However they took that as permission to perform a predatory to w of questionable legality, towing my vehicle from in front of my own home. This seems to be a running theme.
They do these things under cover of darkness on weekends to make you feel victimized, desperate and powerless, then rob you. There are good towing companies out there, but these people are the bottom-feeding criminal underclass of the industry.
After reviewing the pictures taken of the vehicle prior to being towed, it is determined the vehicle was close to a "Visitor's" space, but was not in one. The pictures clearly show Ms. [redacted] was parked 1 space over from Visitor's Parking. There is a sign to the right of her vehicle...
saying "VISITOR PARKING" with an arrow pointing to the right (away from her vehicle). Also, every visitor's space has a 12" tall stencil on the ground that says "VISITOR" which she did not park in (also shown in the photographs). If Ms. [redacted] would like to see the pictures, she may contact my office and schedule a time with me to view them. Sincerely,
[redacted]

It is not illegal in Texas to patrol a parking lot and tow vehicles parked in violation as long as we follow statutory guidelines. The apartment manager is not required to call each vehicle in, nor is the manager obligated to sign for the release of each vehicle. I am not sure...
where [redacted] gets his information, but this is entirely incorrect. I walked the gentleman out to his vehicle. His emergency brake was on (not fully engaged, but it was on) and his vehicle is a standard. We did not discuss whether his vehicle was in 1st gear or neutral at the time. Our conversation was about the brake with the assumption it was in neutral. The parking space he parked in is an upward angle. It is not a flat surface. Just as [redacted] stated, when the key is taken out of the ignition, the steering wheel locks in the position it was left in. After reviewing the pictures taken prior to being towed, the steering wheel was turned and as the vehicle rolled back, it turned at the exact angle the steering wheel was turned. Vehicles with Standard Transmissions must always have the emergency brake fully engaged (especially when left in neutral which is not recommended). This is not an extreme situation and happens quite often. I am sorry this happened to [redacted] because I do believe he did not intentionally park his vehicle in violation.
In order to discuss any details regarding this tow, I need the following information:
1 - Vehicle information (license plate would be preferred)
2 - Apartment complex where the vehicle was towed
3 - The date the vehicle was...
towed.
Unfortunately, there were no identifying characteristics in the complaint to reference. Without this information, I am unable to locate or discuss any details.
