Review: Reliable Paving (RP) replaced my driveway. On July *, they ripped up my old driveway, laid gravel, and compressed the ground/gravel with a roller. This was allowed to sit until Aug **, an important step that allows the ground/gravel to settle, so that before the asphalt is laid, depressions can be filled. The end result is a flat driveway with no depressions. On July *, RP fell short of time, and wasn't able to cut the sidewalk, and lay/roll the gravel in the sidewalk footprint (the driveway was being widened into the sidewalk). RP assured me that they would be back in the next week or two, when they had a local job, to finish the sidewalk, lay gravel, etc., to assure that the gravel had time to settle.On Aug **, when they were here to lay asphalt and finish the job, they were going to cut the sidewalk, lay gravel, lay asphalt, and finish the job, without giving the sidewalk area time to settle. I again expressed my concern that the sidewalk hadn't had time to settle, but RP assured me that it wouldn't be a problem - settling wasn't an issue over such a small area. So, RP finished the driveway, and I paid in full.Within 2 weeks, during a rainfall, I noticed a puddle at the end of my sidewalk on the driveway. I called RP, sent pictures of the puddle, etc., and they eventually came to look at the area on Oct **. RP apologized, we talked through two options to fix the depression, settled on one, and RP said they would come next week to repair the depression. They never came. On Nov *, we exchanged a series of text messages to discuss the depression and repair. RP again assured me they would fix it, and confirmed my concern that it must be fixed before winter, before the driveway fully cures. It is now Dec **, there has been no repair, and RP has become unresponsive to my phone calls and text messages.The puddle is an issue in itself, but the fact that it's where the sidewalk walks onto the driveway makes this an ice hazard in the winter months.Desired Settlement: Either repair the driveway ASAP, or acknowledge that they will not repair the driveway and provide me with $500 so that I can have a different paving contractor perform the fix ASAP.
