Reitz Roofing, Inc. Reviews (32)

[redacted] met with [redacted] on 8-11-16 at 9:00 a.m. and went over the popped nail issue in front of the house. He showed him that all nails were properly pounded down. At that time [redacted] agreed and said to finish the roof.
The water damage in the basement is from a...

prior leak. [redacted] explained to him that the amount of money he was getting from the insurance company should be enough to cover that repair also.
[redacted] referred a drywall person to [redacted] to do the repairs in the basement but we do not know if he ever heard from him.
We did not know that [redacted] was still upset about this he told [redacted] everything was fine.
We will be getting in contact with [redacted] 11-03/16 to see what we need to do to try and get this resolved.

A phone conversation with the homeowner on Aug 18th in response to an email. We informed him that some city's require the the painting of flashings, therefor we typically have our crews paint them all regardless of which city they are in. We told him we would inspect the roof the following day (Aug...

19th). Upon inspection, we noted corrections needed per city code requirements. These corrections were addressed on Aug 20th and 24th.
Prior to the corrections preformed on the 20th, the current owner at the time was left a message by our secretary informing him that the crew was going out to the home. On Aug 21st [redacted] took possession of the home, and we left a message for him on the 24th in regards to a correction not completed on the previous trip and we never received a response. All corrections were made, the city of [redacted] fineled the roof on Aug 26th.

Good morning Gerry,   In response to your last email to the Revdex.com...   1)  We can definitely deliver a ladder and have the inspection called into the City of Wheat Ridge.      2)  We have no problem cleaning the brick.   3)  We will re-hook the waterline to the swamp cooler.   4)  It is normal for us to deliver extra (2sq) material to the property while doing the roof just in case        we come up short while the roof is open to the elements.    Please let us know when we can meet with you to resolve these issues.   Thank you,   [redacted] Reitz Roofing, Inc. the following message has my response back to Reitz Roofing dated 11/9/2016) Thanks for the email.   The roof needs to be removed and all the standing nails (after the 3rd layer was removed) need to either be exracted and/or pounded in.   [redacted]    2)  We have no problem cleaning the brick. 3)  We will re-hook the waterline to the swamp cooler. 4)  It is normal for us to deliver extra (2sq) material to the property while doing the roof just in case        we come up short while the roof is open to the elements.  Please let us know when we can meet with you to resolve these issues. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The problem has not been resolved with Reitz Roofing.  1.  Reitz Roofing replied the City of Wheat Ridge Building Inspector would inspect the roof and all that was done was a Inspector from the City of Wheat Ridge drove by my residence and did not stop to inspect the roof.  (no ladder was provided per [redacted]). There for no inspection was provided as per [redacted] to have the City of Wheat Ridge to inspect.   (also please note that when the final inspection was done after the inspector left, that is when the nails were not extracted or pounded in to eliminate damage to the tar paper to deter water damage.) 2.  Another complaint that was not mentioned other than the nail issue was the flashing around the fireplace chase was painted and no masking was done thus spray paint on the brick. 3.  The water for the swamp cooler was not reattached to the roof and was left dangling. 4.  There was a surplus of shingles left by the roofer and was to be picked up by the supplier and credited to my account. Having said all of this Reitz Roofing did not complete their obligation. Look forward to your immediate response so no, further action is required. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. [redacted]
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The preliminary estimate that was sent from Bracken Collision via pdf to the Revdex.com has been doctored from being the final bill to a estimate. looking at the date of when that estimate was created it is different from the date of the estimate I recieved before recieveing the final bill. On top of the re-categorizing of $1,383.37 of miscellaneous into a parts cost of $1,077.39 that totalled $2,460.76 in parts on the final bill when on the esitmate I recieved August 31. There was only a cost of $300 in parts, unexplanined and unneeded work in other areas of the vehicle that never had oked or received a phone call saying or asking what else had need to be done to my vehicle when I asked to be notified if any further work was to be needed besides what I had expained from the first estimate I recieved on 6/29/2016 that was still either way incorrect no matter what because they didnt included all of the work that we had talked about being that this was going to be an out of pocket payment that was received all at once.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: 1.  I want the shingles removed and  the nails extracted and/or pounded down.  There were tears in the tar paper over the garage and the nails were protruding thus letting moisture under the shingles and weep through existing holes where the nails were extrac2. When the (3) layers of the roof were removed.  I questioned the foreman on the job that was replacing the roof and he told me that a lot of nails were hard to see because of the sunlight.3.  According to wiki leaks web site the proper installations are as follows.
How to Reroof Your House (with Pictures) -( wikiHow  see item number 3)The nails from the existing roof either extracted and/or driven in the roof.

Reitz Roofing, Inc installed the roof at [redacted]We did recieve a correction notice 2010 to secure and seal a vent North of the skylight, there was nothing about decking. After corrections were made we called it back into the city. There is a 5 year warranty on workmanship with...

[redacted] Roofing, but this has been 9 years now.Reitz Roofing, Inc does not do any kind of framing so we did not build the porch.City codes change all the time, so it is not our responsibility for the homeowner to to get a cod upgrade policy.  Bernie [redacted]

The houses in this area are 3-5 feet apart, there is no way to keep all the debris off of the neighboring properties. We do clean up when we are finished. We did ask for a copy of the estimate for damages and never received anything. We also offered to replace damaged sod at the time of the complaint and told them it is winter and not a good time to replace it so we could do it in the spring. We will be happy to take care of the sod in the spring of 2016 when weather permits. We did also notice [redacted] had lawn traffic do to the painters that were working at the same time we did the roofat[redacted] Please give us a call at [redacted] if you have any questions. [redacted]/ [redacted] Reitz Roofing, Inc.
