This claim was for tow vehilces, a 1998 Firebird and 2003 Eclipes. The claim was handled directly by your relocation company, not by Reindeer Auto. However, we were notified of the items claimed: burnt clutch smell, door handle not working properly, trim on your speaker falling off, door...
weather stripping being loose and tint on the window being scratched. Unfortunately, these items are not typical transit related damages. The drivers can only be held liable for damage cause in transit out of negligence or mishandling. There has been no evidence that the carriers mishandled thevehicles in any way to cause the damage the customer has claimed. The damages claimed are consistent with normal wear and tear based on the age, mileage and pre-existing condition of each vehicle prior to the move. The denial was handled by the relocation company for this move, for by Reindeer Auto. Additional details below as to why the items claimed would not be covered.Pontiac - Clutch burnt and slipping – 208,917 miles and no evidence that this was a result of anything done negligently by the carrier. - Driver’s outer door handle not working – again no evidence that this was a result of anything done negligently by the carrier. Simply opening and closing the door wouldn’t be considered negligence - Trim ring broken around subwoofer – Appears to be weakening of glue and driver doesn’t get into the trunk of the vehicle. Nothing negligent done by the driver to cause this.Mitsubishi- 198,254 miles- Driver’s door weather-stripping torn from top-right frame. Appears to be from age and nothing done negligently by the driver. IF occurred by opening and closing door still wouldn’t be considered negligence.- Driver’s door window tint scratched – again, that appears to be from years of rolling the window up and down. The drivers don’t have any reason or way to scratch the window tint especially the way that it is pictured.
