In response to complaint ID [redacted] .? Upon complete investigation of the patients account it was discovered that the patient notified our billing service ? on March 20, which was after the account had already been turned over to collections? (There were no notes that the patient had previously contacted our office)? On March 20, our billing office failed to notify us that the patient was questioning her charges and why our lab performed her tests resulting in her debt remaining at the collection agency? When we received the notice from the Revdex.com was the first that we, at the lab, were aware of the patient dispute.? ? Resolution: ? We found that the doctors office indicated that the patients labs were to be performed by Quest but our employee failed to direct the specimens to Quest resulting in our facility billing for them? Internally we have adjusted off the debt? ? We requested the collection agency remove her debt from the collection process and they have confirmed that they have done suchCollection agency confirms that they comply with all state laws for collection of debts? Also, they have manually sent that request ? to Equifax and Experian so that they may remove it as wellWe deeply apologize for any inconvenience.? ? Kind Regards,?
