Review: I visited Regents Dental Group for a crown. I paid $279 for my first visit 11/12/2013 and $279 for my second visit 11/15/2013 . My insurance paid $1000. I was told that $1558 was the full cost of the procedure plus cleaning and I paid the full price. Months later on 5/30/2014 I received an email from Regents Dental company stating that I owed them $129 that is 90 days past due which will be sent to collections on 6/2/2014. They did not let me know that I owed $129 dollars and lied about the price of the procedure. Regents Dental group is utilizing fraudulent billing practices to scam customers for more money.

Your account has not gone to collections yet. Attached is your signed treatment estimate, and consents for

treatment in our office. If you will note on the treatment plan, the cleaning was not included in the cost of your

first visit, and you returned for a second appointment for your cleaning. It is common practice when a patient

has a medical or dental procedure to give the patient an estimate, and then bill the patient for the unpaid

insurance balance, of the completed procedure. You have insurance that will pay 1000.00 per year, and a

25.00 deductible per year. When you exceed these benefits, the balance is the patient’s responsibility (129.00).

Additionally, you received 2 initial statements from us, we then received the third statement back to us

stating that you had moved, and the statement was not deliverable. At that point, we e-mailed you recently

that you had a balance and the account was due to be turned over to collections.

I am not able to adjust off your balance, but I can offer you a 10% professional courtesy off of this

balance, and will post this courtesy today. Your current balance is 116.10. Please contact our office if you

have additional questions. The account is due to go to collections, so please let us know how to proceed.
