In April of 2014 they installed and extended our existing patio with pavers of three different sizes. The charge for that was $4585.00. In June 2014 they installed the same type pavers on the front entrance porch and side walk. They also did some Landscaping and irrigation work in the front yard. The charge for the front was $3300.00.
When the front walk was completed it was crooked and dipped in one spot. They were also going to make a threshold transiting into the garage from the walk. At the time I told him that there was no rush, that we were leaving and would be back in the fall. The corrections could be completed at their leisure during the summer months. It was not corrected and the threshold was not installed when we returned. When we returned I called them and left a voice mail asking him to call about redoing the front walk.
Subsequent to the call we had a heavy rain and the back patio developed a large puddled area where the water did not drain off. We took pictures of the flooded area and emailed them to him, told him that we had called previously and asked him to contact us about our issues. He called and said he would come and see what has to be done. He did come by we discussed the two problems and the threshold. He said he would be back. This was in the November/December time frame. As of the middle of April he had not returned.
At this point we employed another landscape contractor about correcting the sub-par workmanship. We were motivated to do this after my wife tripped on one of the blocks a number of times. The new contractor removed the back patio blocks and reinstalled then for proper drainage. Cost: $500.00. He then removed the front walk and reconstructed it raising it to level and straightened it as well. Cost; $300.00
I think that potential customers should be aware that employing him for a major job would be risky.
