Red Lion Motor Lodge

My family stayed at the Red Lion Motor Lodge one night in October 2014. It was fairly clean and comfortable. Unfortunately when we left the next morning we left one of my husbands favorite shirts. They did not call to let us know. When I missed the shirt a couple days later I called the motel and the lady first said they did not find it. When I asked her to please check with the person who cleaned the room she changed her story. She said they DID FIND IT AND THEY THREW IT AWAY! When I asked why she said that is their policy because it is too expensive and troublesome to return items that are insignificant. She said she was not truthful in the first place because "she didn't want to disappoint me". Now I am twice disappointed .. she threw the shirt away and she lied about it! They have blatant disregard for possessions of their guests. This in my book is the same as stealing! Very rude and unprofessional!
