Review: A couple of weeks ago I asked about a collections agency your organization had referred on your newsletter. Someone from your company did call me in regards to them, thank you very much. I did finally receive a call from them, [redacted], on Tuesday morning as I was driving into town. I told him I was not available to talk right then and would to call me later in the afternoon. By 5:00pm I didn't get a call back so I called and left a message at 5:30pm. Yesterday I called again in the morning and had to leave a message. That afternoon, after four months of hearing nothing, I finally got two calls back but I was mowing my yard and returned the call when finished. When [redacted] answered this time he was very rude and abrupt. He told me they had tried to contact us on several attempts, but I refuted his claim since I had evidence on my computer in front of me that I had only two emails when we first signed on back in December, and one more on March 10 from [redacted] stating she was in charge of our account. He even tried to tell me my Gmail was "antiquated"! I had also tried to call her on several occasions but only could leave messages. [redacted] and I had a heated and short debate on his attitude towards me, the customer, and he stated they didn't want our business anyway. I think this company should be listed on your website with a poor rating since they do not follow through with what they say and the owner is absolutely irresponsible in handling his customers and their requests for information. After four months of no information I still have no idea where we are in the collection process and they did not follow the schedule of events given to us at the inception of their services.Desired Settlement: We would like for this company to send a letter of apology for the way its owner, [redacted], treated his customer, myself, and also stating they apologize for not living up to their published claims for collection scheduling as well as keeping us informed as to the status of our account, then state they are removing themselves from any further services on our behalf because they cannot provide the services they advertise in a timely and informative manner.

Response:
We were contacted by [redacted] to recover past due monies owed to [redacted] Property Owner’s Association back on December 31, 2013. An email was sent to [redacted] to acknowledge that placement which listed all of our company’s contact information. After our collectors started contacting the property owners, we received several complaints about [redacted] and the association not being authorized to send them to collections , issues with the amount of dues, etc. I will agree that contact with [redacted] was scarce between January and March. However, attempts were made by [redacted] to reach out to him and address the issues. In March, attempts were ramped up after we received an offer to settle one of the accounts. [redacted] and [redacted] played phone tag for quite some time. When the two were finally able to speak on the phone, [redacted] became very upset and belligerent after [redacted] questioned him about some of the allegations brought forth by the property owners. At that point [redacted] continued to raise his voice and the conversation did get heated between the two. [redacted] terminated the call to avoid any further verbal abuse from [redacted]. Services were terminated on 4/10/2014 per [redacted]’ request and all accounts closed. The situation could have been handled better on both parts. [redacted] does apologize for the way things happened on the call. I hope that [redacted] was able to find another organization to assist him with his accounts. [redacted]
Review: Collection of home owner association dues
Did not receive a 1st notice
2nd notice was sent 1/2013 stated balance owed $540.00
3rd notice was sent 3/2013 stating balance owed $400.00
At this point I hadn't made a payment. Nothing sent to agency
So I made payment arrangement of $60.00 bi-monthly (120 x 3 = 360 + 40=400)with the 3rd notice attached to each payment but the initial one. The last payment was for $40.00 with the same notice attached with a side notation stating this concludes our business.
A month an a half after last payment, and check is cashed I received a call stating I owe an additional $80.00. When speaking to [redacted] he never stated why I owed the additional amount, just that I did. The math didn't add up. I have all correspondence from the agency other than the first letter, which I never received. I just received a letter in the mail
stating legal action will be taken if I don't pay the $80.00. The agency had every opportunity to let me know that additional fees were due during the course of the seven payments sent to the agency. As I stated the same letter stating balance due from 3/13 of $400.00 was attached to each payment other than the initial payment. They never inform me via phone, letter or Emil that additional fees were due.Desired Settlement: cease and exist and a letter stating obligation filled. No balance owed.

Response:
[redacted] was first
notified that we were engaged by [redacted] HOA on January 5 2013 via a
letter that was delivered to her residence at [redacted]
The agency also attempted to communicate with [redacted] via telephone using the
information provided by the HOA on 1/4/13 1/5/13, 1/7/13. [redacted] did not
respond to the letter or to our attempts to communicate via telephone. On
January 11 2013 a civil investigation was preformed that provided the agency
with additional contact numbers for [redacted] We attempted to contact her
through the additional numbers that were provided on 1/11/13 1/18/13, 1/24/13.
Since no contact was made, another letter was mailed to [redacted] on 1/24/13.
Attempted contacts to [redacted] on 1/26/13 and 1/30/13 went ignored as well.
A third letter was mailed to [redacted] on 3/5/2013.
The agency received a letter
from [redacted] with a $60 payment along with a note stating that she would
be paying $60 every other week starting March 1, 2013. Since that time [redacted] has made the following payments:
3/8/13 - $60.00
4/4/13 - $60.00
4/16/13 - $60.00
5/7/13 - $60.00
5/20/13 - $60.00
6/11/13 - $60.00
6/27/13 - $60.00
7/8/13 -$40.00
On 8/21/13 a phone call was
made to [redacted], no one answered a message was left to contact our office.
On 8/22/2013 I spoke with [redacted] and informed her of the unpaid balance on
the account. She was very upset and commented that someone should have let her
know sooner and that she was going to contact the HOA directly and hung up.
Attached is the letter
received from [redacted]
