After receiving Mr***'s original compliant I looked into why he was sent to collections and could not find any reason why we would have sent him to collections as he actually received a refund for part of his deposit so he owed us nothingUpon digging into a Sure Deposit surety
bond Mr*** had purchased for his security deposit we discovered they had someone on their staff that mistakenly charged him for damages he had already been charged for by us, and had paid usI sent them an email message stating they had wrongfully sent Mr*** to collections and this needed to be removed from collections and they also needed to notify the credit reporting agencies to let them know of their mistakeI received an email with an apology, and that they would remedy the situation on their endI copied Mr*** on all correspondence from Sure DepositI have since received an email message with a "Thank you" from Mr***
