Review: Service: Complete Website Transfer from [redacted] to [redacted]. Cost: $419. I paid in full as required before service was complete. Remaining work guaranteed to be done: migration of staging site to live site, preservation of all permalinks (fully intact), rewrite code/301 redirects/redirection of old site to new, functional install of redirect management plugin. Project was guaranteed for completion 12.13.13; crucial to my site's official relaunch on 12.16. When I discovered nothing had been done on 12.13, I contacted the CEO/Lead Dev. He cited issues with the migration. This was a lie, as I verified with my host that there were no logins that day (a MUST to get to the files). CEO then promised completion 12.14. Didn't happen. Over the next 4 days, I sent 3 emails, 1 text, + 2 calls w/messages. NO RESPONSE. My relaunch was ruined + couldn't happen. I contacted my host to have them do the migration. Cost: $150 + done same day, however redirects + links still needed to be fixed. 404 errors were numerous + harmful. CEO finally responded 12.17 to say he was sick + my project was ignored. (Important Note: During the period he says he was too sick to handle business, CEO was live tweeting + RTing regularly, posting to [redacted] + [redacted]. I have screencaps + PDFs of all. He was perfectly well enough to communicate via social media, but apparently NOT to panicked clients.) Despite all this, I gave him one last chance to make good. He promised to fix ALL that week + complete the project. After that last communication on 12.18, he disappeared completely again. I sent 2 more emails + made 1 call. There has been NO RESPONSE to anything as of today, 12.31.13. (Yet he is still live tweeting daily + blogging.) The amount of stress this has caused has been tremendous. His complete disregard for a paid client is horrifying, from the lies to the treatment of my project. I do not know if my site will recover from the loss of authority, search rank, or users turned off by 404 errors. WORST vendor experience ever.Desired Settlement: Trust w/this vendor has been obliterated. I spent the last 2 weeks wildly trying to repair site issues, to save brand face after announcing a relaunch that didn't happen when promised, + scrambling to get the site in order, after having PAID IN FULL to have a so-called "expert" handle this project. All caused by ReadyMadeWeb's mishandling + gross willful neglect. I want + deserve a full refund. The stress/site damage/scrambling/cost to have another vendor fix it vastly surpasses a measly $419.
