Review: I received a call from Reader's Service, and they wouldn't tell me which one, asking if my magazines were arriving in good shape. I talked to the manager named [redacted] and he told me that I had signed up to receive a whole lot of different magazines and was being billed for them. I told him that I never signed up for any subscription of these magazines that I have been receiving. He said that I had and the amount when I asked him, was $39.90. I told him that I never ordered any magazines and to stop sending them. He said that he couldn't because it was through another product that I had purchased over the telephone called "[redacted]". I told him that I ordered that a couple of years ago and when I did that, they put me down (without my knowledge) to receive all of these magazines, which I never did. After I told him that, he hung up on me, and that is as far as I got with him.
I called the bank and inquired about these magazine debits and he looked at my account and said that none were made, but I am constantly worried about this situation and don't know how to stop it. I have been told by the Post Office to attach a note saying "Return to Sender" "Did Not Order", but it hasn't made any difference.
I NEVER agreed to purchase these magazines from them or "[redacted]", who they said is responsible. Right now, I don't know who to contact to straighten this mess out.Desired Settlement: I just want whoever signed me up for this without my consent, to stop. I have read over the internet that others have been bothered by this same situation, so I know that I am NOT THE ONLY ONE!
