We listed our property with RE/MAX in the spring of 2013. While we understand that the market for our type of property is not good, the response to our listing was poor. I have no complaint with the realtor in this regard.
However, when we finally decided not to renew the contract (which expired some six weeks ago. 10/30), we informed the realtor (11/04) of our intentions and asked her to come pick up the sign, remove the lock boxes and return our keys to us. Some time after, the realtor finally made it to our home, on a day(11/8 when we were out of town, and removed the lock boxes and took the sign (which we had placed under the carport). Rather than hide the keys somewhere on the property, we suggested she mail them to us, a suggestion that was readily accepted.
Several weeks have now gone by and we STILL do not have our keys! We inquired in early December and the realtor claims that she sent them via UPS to our address, but at a non-existant post office! Given that UPS and the Post Office are NOT the same, it was quite apparent that the keys were lost somewhere. When we brought that fact to her attention, she finally discovered the package was returned to her office, and now claims to have corrected the address and mailed them once again.
We can only hope that we will get our keys returned soon!
