account and get the money. She went on to ask if the two Dormant Account Fees could be returned to her. I explained that we could not refund the fees. Fort Financial Credit Union's policy is that fees will only be refunded if there was a credit union error. Fort Financial Credit Union issues quarterly statements on all savings accounts. Dormant Account Fees are not assessed until there has been 18 months of no account activity. During that time, the member should have received at least 6 statements making her aware of the account. The last transaction on Ms. [redacted]'s account occurred in July 2013, and the first Dormant Account Fee was assessed in February 2015 — which is 18 months after the last transaction. Our Truth-In-Savings Fee Disclosure is provided at the time of account opening, included once per year in member statements, and also available 24/7 on our website.
