Little did I know that it was not a loan but a Line of Credit (LOC) for much more than I required. This affects you credit rating in a big way. the line of credit amount reduces your amount of available credit. And once you pay it off, those dollars are still not available unless you close the LOC. And closing the LOC affects your credit rating negatively. R&F should be up front and transparent with their customers. This is a way for R&F to make money - for every LOC they open, they receive compensation from the lender - so it is a very lucrative business.
