The vehicle was sold AS - IS with no warrantyHowever, the customer had an issue with the power steering and we offered to fix it free of labor chargeThe vehicle's brake system was not touched while hereThe customer's mother sent me a text message on 8/29/at 6:PM stating that the brakes had gone out in the vehicle and that her son hit a car going "like 3mph" and that she wanted to switch vehiclesShe then sent a picture of the car totaled the following day 8/30/at 5:PMHer son had then been in another accident (screenshots available if needed)If the brakes did not work Saturday then he should not have been driving the car SundayPolice records show no evidence that the brakes went out and when I spoke with an officer on the phone I was told that it appeared he was looking at an accident that had just happened on the other side of the highway and rear ended another vehicleThe customer's insurance investigator also inspected the vehicle and found no evidence of failed brakes eitherI offered to forgive the remaining balance of the said vehicle after insurance payment so the customer was not responsible for the remaining balance and also allow him to purchase another vehicle with no down paymentCustomer denied that option and requested the entire insurance check be released to them and the balance of the vehicle be forgiven
Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:This is a lie and my insurance did find an issue with the brakesI also consulted with another mechanic and they stated the same thing happened with the brakesWe believed the first accident to have been cause by the brakes possibly locking up because they worked right afterThe mechanic said this was because the fluid was slowly leaking out when the vehicle would turn because they did not align the parts correctly when they "fixed" the rack and pinionWe were lied to from the very beginningOur sale person told us things would be fixed or we would have never bought this vehicleThey fired that sales person tooYes they should forgive any debt and give back the entire down payment to make this rightI had to put out money in a rental but I'm not asking for that money backThis is not asking for much Sincerely, [redacted] ***
Customer's complaints are and irrelevantMr [redacted] vehicle was repossessed Friday night (5/13/16) for non paymentHe has no grounds for complaint on those terms and is now making accusations in recourse
I feel that they sold a vehicle that was a death trap and I want my money back of $
