I arrived in the parking lot of [redacted] in Lansing, Illinois and was a patron of [redacted] ***In less than ten mins my car was towedI spoke with the employees of [redacted] who told me that no one calls to have cars towed that this towing company is predatory in natureI was also told I could not pay with anything but cash because their credit/debit machine was down Someone needs to investigate this shady companyI want my $back
My car was towed illegally by Rapid Recovery on July 5, I was given permission to park in a private lot from [redacted] Corporation Construction I have been parking in this lot for years When I asked Rapid Recovery who authorized him to tow my car, Rapid Recovery refushed to tell me Illinois law states that if you are to tow a vehicle you must post a sign at each entrance There were no signs posted at the entrance There was sign posted (which was not visible from where I parked) This company has violated Illinois Law I seek to be reimbursed for $(this was the cost which I had to pay to recover my vehicle) The owner is uncooperative and very unprofessional
October 20, To Whom it May Concern, My name is [redacted] a resident of Pangea Lakes [redacted] ***½ years When I moved in I had two vehicles and there were no parking stipulations Things started changing every few months We were given parking stickers for the windshield for residents They changed the color months later and then said one per unit They later said we could purchase a additional sticker for $for a second vehicle I sold one of my vehicles and I purchased a 2nd vehicle on October 10, bringing the vehicle home on October 13, with a temporary plate and at this time I went over to the management office to obtain a packing sticker and was told by Office Manager [redacted] I needed to have the original plate to be put in the system [redacted] also told me the office had no visitor passes and I would be OK parking because cars were not being told and once towing resumed notices would be hung to let tenants now On the evening of
parked at my residence with all my legal documents in place, including handicape placid card said it was towed because car was over the linedidn't show pictures not saying it would be right but you can the people who use the lot and it's not numbered for tenant space
My workers parked in the visitors area in a customer's buildingThey were upstairs a half hour and came down and the car was towedAll of the personal items were in the vehicle they could not get any information to get the car releasedThe building owner called and said they towed it illegally and it still didn't matterHow does a place like this operate legally? The owners were verbally abusive and even cursed us out
