Customer go an oil change 5/16/INV#*** Monday. Friday he called the store to say he had his car towed because it was leaking oil and the belt came off and that it would be Monday before his mechanic could look at the vehicle. The manager said that we would pay for the belt and
refund the oil change and the customer said that would be goodOn Tuesday May 24, the customer went and talked to the manager and said the filter was leaking and that was what caused the belt to come off. The manager said we would refund the oil change and pay for the belt( but the real cause of the belt coming off was the pulley if it froze up due to bearing failing .) The customer said we also owed for towing and the manager said where the vehicle broke down we could have gone down the street to look at it to minimize our cost but have not had the chance to look at the vehicle. May 25, the customer called another location and said the air conditioner wasn't working and he was out $600.We are willing to pay the belt and refund the oil change per the conversation on Tuesday May 24, because that is the initial request was but we don't understand what the other expenses would be

Rapid Oil never declined responsibility from this situation. Rapid Oil never heard all of the information concerning this issue. The customer originally asked to be reimbursed for the oil leak, belt, pulley and towing and never gave us an amount for the claim and that is where the impasse came about. The customer in the last response finally gave enough information to satisfy our concerns concerning the claim. If the customer can give an invoice detailing the amount and used parts Rapid Oil can pay the claim and this matter will be resolved to everybody's satisfaction. Rapid Oil will accept the invoice through this process but needs the parts. Rapid Oil also appreciates Mr. [redacted]'s faithfulness over the past 10 years and accepts this as another side of customer service.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted]. To start off the car did not break down just down the street ,the belt came off at Thomason and the loop, my wife was driving and had no idea what had happened, the manager said that I told him it was just a couple of blocks from the shop, that is not true, the pulley did not freeze, it was broke by the belt jamming in it when the belt broke from the friction of turning on the oil , it also wrapped around the clutch of the air condion and burnt the compressor , as far as proof they were the only ones under the hood b.4 the oil leaked out thru the filter , and the people that helped my wife will be glad to testify as to where she was when it broke down, this was a mistake they made and I am the one having to ride around in a car with no air, and am out at this point over 700.00 . And rapid oil refuses to admit they made a mistake, I have been a faithful customer for over 10 years, I do not deserve this, if they can not own up to their responsibilities, then we will let the courts decide, they are lucky they do not have to pay for a new motor, since it all came out, due to their error
