Hello, On 03-09-18 purchased a Palomino Pick Up Camper. We were given a check for $12450 by the [redacted] and told we could cash it in ten days. As a precaution, we asked the [redacted] to sign a contract guaranteeing payment by 03/24/2018. We cashed this check on the 19th, having...
not heard anything different from the [redacted]', and it was returned for NSF by the bank on the 23rd. Our salesman, Jack, contacted the [redacted] by phone. He first spoke with [redacted] and later [redacted]. They said they had only begun to transfer the money and thought they had 30 days to make their check good. [redacted] became upset and hung up on Jack. A short while later I received a call from Bill. He again reiterated that he thought he had 30 days. Per his request, I emailed him the purchase agreement and a copy of the contract guaranteeing payment by 03/24/18. I also told [redacted] that I was concerned because on the 9th they had told us money was in the process of being transferred from a retirement account and that now they were telling us that they had only now initiated the request to transfer money. I told [redacted] this was of great concern to us and that if we couldn't get this resolved we may have to contact law enforcement. [redacted] said he would see about making the check good or wiring us money. I later had a message from [redacted] asking me to call him. When I did he explained that we could now run the check through. We asked our bank to again run the check yesterday afternoon. We have not yet heard from the bank if the check is NSF a second time. At no time yesterday were we asked by the [redacted] to cover their NSF fee. Nor do I feel we should cover the fee since they told us on 03/09/19 the check would be good by the 19th. If this was not going to be the case, they should have contacted us before the 19th. I have attached both the purchase agreement and the contract they signed. At no point did we ever tell the [redacted] they had 30 days to make the check good. Thank you for your time, Joel J[redacted]Rangitsch Brothers Home Center, LLC
