Diagnostics were not complete, third time trying to get the air conditioning in our family car repaired. I was charged incorrectly for recharging of the A/C, which wasn't and didn't fix the problem. I then brought it back because it was repaired incorrectly. Less than 90 days later, the problem (which I diagnosed on the first trip) still is present and the business is wanting to charge AGAIN to repair it.
Billing Adjustment My car repaired correctly at no additional cost to me.
ON MAY 04 2020 WE CHECKED HVAC ON FIESTA FOR LEAK FOUND EVAPORATOR CORE LEAKING. WE USED DIE TO DETECT LEAK. WE GOT APPROVAL FROM CUSTOMER AND TOOK AC BOX APART THERE WAS DIE IN BOX. CUSTOMER BRUNG FIESTA BACK ON AUG.27 TO RECHECK AS WE FOUND A LEAK ON CONDENSER CORE DIE CAN BE SEEN THREW FRONT GRILL CALLED CUSTOMER HAVE NOT HEARD BACK. WE STILL HAVE CAR it is a different leak and different part. sorry but not our fault
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I believe it was the compressor the entire time, and I believe I was charged to replace a part that would not repair the original fault. I believe this to be, because the first trip, I was charged for a something, but it didn't fix the problem. That leads me to believe there was NO DIAGNOSTIC performed. Once I returned the vehicle, I was then informed it was the condenser, I don't know how they came to that conclusion. The vehicle was returned in working order(repaired?) but then lost the ability to cool. I was informed by a comment and qualified person that the line may have a leak and could just keep getting refilled and not fixing the problem. I then returned for a third time and was told it was the compressor, which I believed (and expressed) to be the fault the entire time. I'm not sure however, if repairing the condenser was necessary, and without proper diagnostics, I don't think they can prove it WAS the problem. I would still like the cost of the repairs returned.
THE FIRST TIME HE CAME IN WE INSTALLED DIE IN SYSTEM TO LOCATE LEAK. THEN HE CAME BACK FOUND EVAPORATOR CORE LEAKING. SEVERAL MOUNTHS LATTER CUSTOMER RETURNED WE FOUND CONDENSER LEAKING. I TALKED TO CUSTOMER AND EXPLAINED TO HIM. I DONT HAVE ANY NOTES ON COPRESSOR IT IS NOISE BUT NOT LEAKING. WILL NEED ONE AT A LATER DATE
WE ARE TRUELY SORRY HE IS UPSET BUT ITS NOT OUR FAULT
