Review: We were contacted by The Randall Law group in January of 2013. They said they did their research and we were prime candidates for a loan modification. The cost was going to be $5000 dollars. We declined their services because we did not have the money. The representative said we could pay $1500 up front to get the process started and pay the rest a later date. I borrowed $1500 from my 401K plan to get the process started. She took some initial information and said our file would be submitted to an expert who actually worked as a eligibility officer. She said he\she approves then it is an almost guarantee that we would get a loan modification. At this time, we were not behind on any of our payments. We just wanted to reduce our monthly payment. The representative said you should use your February Mortgage payment to pay the remainder of our fees. We trusted them and complied. The representative then said you are now our client. Further, do not have any contact with the bank and do not make any more mortgage payments. The bank will be notified that you are in the modification Process. We were contacted by or representative in July. She said the bank wants you need to make two mortgage payments before they offer a modification. Our represntative said to call her back after we make the two payment. Well, she quit her job, so we we not able to contact her. In the meantime, the bank offered a modification which put all the late payments on the back of the loan and increased our interest rate. My wife and I continued to try to contact the Randall Law Group, but they would not return our calls. When they finally returned our calls, they said it was nothing else they can do for us. We did not even get a chance to discuss the modification. In order to avoid foreclosure, my wife and I signed and submitted the new modification papers. The papers were returned late and the modification was denied. Now the bank wants all of its back pay or our home is going into forclosure. I had to borrow another $7000 from my 401K. I think the Randall Group should refund our money for getting us into this mess. ThanksDesired Settlement: I want our $5000 back.
Review: Dear Sir/Madam,In February 2013, Randall Law Group left a voice mail stating that they would help me either refinance or modify my mortgage loan. I called back and had an extended discussion with the representative regarding the process. I was guaranteed that they would complete the loan modification process to obtain an interest rate of upto 4% within 90 days. I was asked to send $3,495.00 for processing fee. Against my better judgment and out of desperation to get out of almost 7% interest rate I'm paying currently, I agree to proceed. I submitted all the information requested including some documents that I signed. During the first month, I've been getting phone calls and e-mails at least twice a day from Randall Law Group until the money is sent. However, after a month is gone by, I was given different names as a contact person to my account. Eventually I received a couple of e-mails requesting additional documents and status update. After the 90 days period, I try to contact any one from the Group, but the extension I was given is no longer in service and I haven't been able to talk to anyone. I left a voice mail and didnt get any response. I try to send an e-mail but a kept on getting undeliverable message. It was hard earned money I gave the Group in the hopes of getting a relief from the interest rate I'm paying currently. However, I think my worst fear has come to a reality and I have become a statistics of mortgage fraud. The Revdex.com is my last hope in resolving this issue. I sincerely hope that you'd be able to find out why the Randall Law Group, if they are real business, cheat people in time of their desperate needs. It is also in the effort to prevent others from becoming a victim. If you need any additional information and documentation, please let me know. Respectfully,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would very much like for the Randall Law Group to get me what they have promised which is a modification of my loan interest rate below 4%. That's what I was promised and that's all I expect. If they are unable to keep their end of the bargain, they I would very much would like to get a refund of my hard earned money that I paid which is $3,495.00.
Review: I was told they have an A rating with Revdex.com.I see no rating.I was told we fit the criteria in loan modification, was spoke to in past tense like it was a done deal.I gave them 3,000 in 3 payments.I believe they just preyed upon someone who's home is 40,000 under water, instead of helping they made us one step closer to losing our home.I was honest to [redacted] who called me to set this up,he was just the opposite talking to me.Desired Settlement: They should give some or all of the money back,I believe [redacted] knew we didn't fit criteria for loan modification.
Review: Subject: Randall Law Group Client ID# [redacted]In October 2013, My husband and I contracted with the RANDALL LAW GROUP for their assistance with working out a loan modification on our primary residence with our mortgage company, on our behalf. As required by their team of lawyers and loan processors, we paid fees to them upfront totalling $4,995.00, using personal checks. We have placed numerous unanswered phone calls to their representatives, with whom we had been previously communicating with, as well as sent several emails on the following dates(4//9/14, 3/25/14, 3/26/14, 3/31/14, 4/1/14 and 4/4/14)- requesting a status update on our modification request. To date, no response from them has been received. It also appears that all the phone numbers and email addresses provided by them no longer work. Saving our home is a very serious matter to us, and we are now facing losing our home. We have been taken advantage of, and defrauded by Randall and LHG. Please assist us in locating this company, so that we may recover our money, as well as filing complaints with the proper authorities.Thank you.Desired Settlement: Return of the $4,995.00 paid to them, and for any other fees, or legal fees that may be associated with this claim.
Review: In early January 2013 we called and hired Randall Law Group to handle our Mortgage Modification because with our family situation our house payment were to high. They gave us a quote on what they were going to try to bring our payments down to, we submitted our paper work and payments to them for $3000.00. In March we were sent a nasty gram saying we weren't being compliant with sending in paper work when I had been in contact with a lady and sent paperwork to her via Fed-ex the week prior. They promised to keep us apprised of the progress weekly and that never happened. Fast forward to August, after the VA contacted us, we called BofA directly, something that Randall Law told us not to do and we found out that Randall Law had NEVER contacted BofA! We are now working with BofA directly and would like a refund with Randall Law. We have requested this and today we received another nasty gram telling us that we are in default and most of their phone numbers have been disconnected.Desired Settlement: We paid Randall Law Group $3000.00 for there services. We were conned plain and simple we would like the money returned to us in the full amount.
Review: Trying to do a mortgage loan modification. Paid a retainer fee for $3990 and all I keep getting is the file is in review with the lender. I get the same status updates every 1 -2 weeks. This has been going on since the end of June 2013. They cashed the first check 7/30/13, and the 2nd check 8/30/13. I think this company is a scam.Desired Settlement: would like my $3990 refunded to me.
Review: Re: # [redacted]; Loan Modification
The service has not been completed and this law firm started the service requesting $1,600.00 per each signed Loan Modification Legal Assisted Home Saver Program. The total charge was $3,200.00 they charge me. I am so disappointed about their services and no modification resolved. It has been over one year and no resolution. I have all the required documents that I sent them and no response from them stating when this transaction will be complete. I could have used that funds sent to them for a mortgage payment. Please resolve this case as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: If the Randall Law Group cannot resolve my case, I will like my refund of $3,200.00.
Review: Basically they took 3K of my money and never provided any of the services they promised and now they will not even return my call
Basically they took 3K of my money and never provided any of the services they promised and now they will not even return my call.
They lied to me in order to get my money for a loan home loan modification and have missed up my credit with my home mortgage company.Desired Settlement: $3,000.00 is what I paid them for nothing
Review: I paid Randall Law Group $3800 to have them do a loan modification on both my 1st and 2nd mortgages. They explained to me that the 1st mortgage had to be done first and then once completed, they can start the process on the 2nd mortgage. My 1st mortgage was modified and I was told by Randall Law Group 3 months ago that they would send me the paperwork advising me of my next steps and what I would need to send in. Not only have I never received the information, but I have left them several messages to contact me and they have never returned any of my calls.Even before this, I had issues with them as far as them losing my paperwork that I had sent them, not returning my phone calls, they wouldn't follow up with the bank doing my modification to make sure things were moving along, etc. They had also initially promised that my modification would be completed within 90-120 days and it took 11 months.Desired Settlement: I would like for Randall Law Group to deliver what they promised. I need my 2nd mortgage also modified and they have done nothing to start this process. If they won't get this done, then I would like a full refund of the money I paid them since they haven't ever done what they had initially promised to do. If I hadn't kept calling them to find out where the process of my 1st mortgage modification was, and if they received the paperwork and sent it over, I would still be in the process of my 1st.
Review: Randall Law Group (RLG) sent a written agreement to service my loan modification through Bank of America (BofA) March 28th 2013. This was a frustrating process duplicate copies were sent to Randall Law Group sometimes two or three times because the information sent to Bank of America was unreadable. There was also a breakdown in communication due to the transfer between two different service managers. Allowing RLG to handle my loan modification proved to be unsuccessful. As of December 2013 BofA transferred my loan to Penny Mac Loan Service which has started a new loan modification application from the very beginning. Since transfer of my loan, there has been no contact or service from Randall Law Group, they have since been non-existence in my new negotiation for a loan mod and my loan modification still hasnt been resolved as of 27 January 2014. The payments of $2,100 and $1,600 for retainer agreement was just a SCAM, everything RLG promised proved to be a smoke screen. I learned an important lesson the home owner is ultimately responsible for providing documentation during the modification process. The lender is not responsible for contacting anybody else other than who is on the loan documentation. Allowing a third party to process any request allows for issues down the line like missing and unreadable documents. Randall Law Group made the impression that their Law Firm could render better progress and stream line the process. They made reference to articles and testimony of individuals who found it difficult if not impossible to process a loan modification on their own. Its disappointing to say that RLG was only a middle man in this entire process. Allowing them to fax over documents requested by BofA was a waste of time and money.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of monies paid totaling $3,700
