Review: Ramsey Volvo was supposed to complete a car repair resulting from an impact with a snow bank. Ramsey outsourced some of the work to [redacted] NY, but was supposed to inspect and certify the work performed by [redacted]. Ramsey provided me with an invoice stating "Repaired car as per agreed insurance estimate" but did not provide me with a more detailed invoice as to the work performed/parts used as I had requested per standard automotive business practices. Immediately following pick-up of my vehicle (driving out of dealer parking lot), I noticed several issues including unusual noises made by vehicle. I informed the Service Manager/Advisor in person within 5 minutes of leaving the dealership. Ramsey once again failed to provide an appropriate invoice detailing the work performed, and after consultation with my car insurance company[redacted], I brought my car to another Volvo dealer--[redacted] Volvo in East Hannover New Jersey for inspection. [redacted] Volvo Service Advisors and my [redacted] insurance adjuster inspected my car and confirmed that several repairs/part replacements that were claimed to have been undertaken by Ramsey were in fact not completed. These include replacement of the radiator and condensor, with associated charges, as well as an insufficient repair of the tow eye cap and additional damage to the headlight harness/serpentine drive belt from negligent and unauthorized towing by Ramsey/[redacted]. Ramsey was either complicit in fraud (seeking payment for repairs/replacement of parts that were not completed or negligent in not inspecting/certifying the work completed as they had assured me they would and per Volvo manufacturer guidelines. I have also notified Volvo North America of this incident.Desired Settlement: Refund of additional costs for completion of repair by [redacted] Volvo.
Review of similar work outsourced to [redacted] by Ramsey Volvo to ensure that other Ramsey Volvo customers were not similarly affected.
Review: Recently, my car would not start. It eventually started but I took it to Redbank Volvo who couldn't find a problem. Days later, the car again wouldn't start and had to be towed to Ramsey Volvo. Ramsey claimed software upgrades would fix it and did them for $467.94. Days later, the car would not start again. After sitting, the car started and I returned it to Ramsey who told me they could start replacing parts but could not guarantee repair. I told them I would take it elsewhere but didn't want to be charged for the work they claimed to do. They agreed to refund me for the original repair via check attempt but today when I called to follow up on the check I didn't receive, told me they had changed their mind.
I would like a refund for the unnecessary work done. Looking forward to your response while I also reach out to Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the unnecessary work done. I also incurred towing and rental car expenses (another $200) as well as tolls (another $40) and mileage getting to and from this dealer which was over 50 miles from my home as well as over 7 hours of driving time back and forth to these people but they should at least refund me for the repairs that were not needed and did not fix the problem as promised.
