On July 31st, 2019 my husband and I went to the lawyers office to file for DACA . After filing out the papers that were needed, Ignacio (Legal Assistant) stated that everything was set to go and nothing more needed to be done but the payment. I notified the man that I would be able to make the payment via phone that same Friday . On Friday of that week August 2nd, 2019 I called the office and the legal assistant took the payment. From then on we were told that we should be receiving notice from the US Department of homeland security stating the application was received. A month went by and we did not receive anything so I contacted the lawyer's office to ask for an update but was told that Ignacio would call us back, and unfortunately that never occurred. From there on I continued to contact the office time after time, and each time was told that I would get a call back , which never happened. Finally we were able to meet with Ignacio THREE months later, just so he could say that he did not know why or what had happened to the application. He stated “I handed it to Caldbeck and I THINK it was turned it.” His response was not at all professional and he demonstrated careless efforts to try to fix the issue, he simply gave me the lawyer's email and moved on to the next client. My Husband has been a client to this lawyer for some time now, the previous assistant was amazing and always updated us when needed. Due to the poor service we took action into our own matters and contacted US Department of homeland security to be told that nothing was found under my husbands name, so we went to a notarizer who helped us file the paper work and two weeks later we received our notice that the US Department of homeland security was working on it. I attempted to get a hold of either the assistant or the lawyer for a refund of the services that were not provided. No one has returned my call, and have been told that neither of them work at the office anymore.
