On presentation the five month old puppy was lethargic. The physical exam revealed the puppy had a 4/6 heart murmer. The owner was never told the murmer was a 5/6. Body temperature was hypothermic. The owner stated the dogs littermate died from a heart defect. A referral to the [redacted]...

[redacted] was recommended for further treatment for the puppy but the owner declined. The Raleigh County Animal Hospital stands by the diagnosis made at this facility as well as the high level of care the animal received.
