Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Not all statements are complete or factualMrS [redacted] attempted to have me sign a "repair contract" many timesAll of the contracts he wanted me to sign released him from any further obligation or liability for my roofHe hired a third party contractor to write an estimate for repair, but MrS [redacted] did not agree with the contractor HE hiredMrS [redacted] had this contractor rewrite the estimate to his liking, for a total of approximately 1/of the repairs needed to restore my home to original condition, also resulting in approximately 1/of the costSince I did not agree to this, I gave conditional offersOne, he could complete his contractor's original estimate, or cash me out for $10,MrS [redacted] agreed to cash me out, then had his insurance cover the cost of the cash-outI accepted the cash-out offer, not knowing his insurance company was still involvedHad I known his insurance company was still involved, I would have asked that THEY pay for the complete cost of repairNow, I must repair the roof myself and loose any warranty that any other home owner would be affordedAlthough I am willing to do this at this time, I feel as though my family, my attorney, and myself have been deceived by MrS [redacted] and Rainy Day ConstructionI will, from this day forward, discourage anyone from using this company for any and all construction needsMy real estate agent, and the agent we purchased the home from, have both agreed to no longer do business with this company Sincerely, [redacted]

After the faults in the construction were discovered. Multiple attempts were made verbally to resolve the issue at the commencement of the year 2018, around the middle of January. An agreement could not be attained verbally. My next attempt was a contractual obligation to redo the roof at no...

cost, this was in February. The contractual agreement was not agreed to by the client. Following, the next attempt was for a 3rd party to re-do the roof job,  this was in March- April, this was not agreed to by the client. Lastly, at the beginning of May the client agreed to $10,000 in cash instead of a new roof.

He hired a third party contractor to write an estimate for repair, but Mr. S[redacted] did not agree with the contractor HE hired. Mr. S[redacted] had this contractor rewrite the estimate to his liking, for a total of approximately 1/3 of the repairs needed to restore my home to original condition, also resulting in approximately 1/3 of the cost. Since I did not agree to this, I gave 2 conditional offers. One, he could complete his contractor's original estimate, or cash me out for $10,000. Mr. S[redacted] agreed to cash me out, then had his insurance cover the cost of the cash-out. I accepted the cash-out offer, not knowing his insurance company was still involved. Had I known his insurance company was still involved, I would have asked that THEY pay for the complete cost of repair. Now, I must repair the roof myself and loose any warranty that any other home owner would be afforded. Although I am willing to do this at this time, I feel as though my family, my attorney, and myself have been deceived by Mr. S[redacted] and Rainy Day Construction. I will, from this day forward, discourage anyone from using this company for any and all construction needs. My real estate agent, and the agent we purchased the home from, have both agreed to no longer do business with this company.
