Dear Revdex.com.
Ref: ID [redacted]
Mr [redacted] paid for pumping at the time of his buyers septic inspection on August 4, 2014. The buyer was present at the pumping, Mr. [redacted] was not.
Over two and a half months after Rainbow Septic left the site Mr [redacted] called to say his repair person...

complained there was water and debris in the tank. (Again, Mr [redacted] has not seen the tank). As the tank was pumped of liquid at the time of inspection, my only assumption can be that in the last 60 days someone while on the property has run water. As to the "debris" in the tank our email response is below.

You stated that the tank was not pumped at time of inspection. This is incorrect.
The tank was completely pumped of liquid and as much of the sludge was removed as possible. The remaining sludge in the tank is matted within the root balls in the tank and cannot be removed during normal pumping procedures. This may be what your repair person is seeing. (Rainbow Septic inspection report date August 4 states under Inspection Summary: "4. There are 3-4 12 inch diameter root balls in the inlet chamber of the tank. The roots appear to be infiltrating the tank between the tank walls and the tank lid and around the inlet baffle. Remove all root balls and reseal at root infiltration.)
During the inspection the pumper does the best he can to remove as much sludge as possible but you cannot get it all out because of the root balls. We cannot pump up the root balls because they clog our hoses. The only way to remove them is by hand and then once removed they need to be disposed of properly because they are now considered toxic waste once outside the tank. This service is not within the scope of our inspection and is considered a "repair".
Rainbow Septic would be more than delighted to return the property and pump the septic tank again however our charge will be $300 as we consider this a second pump.
We regret that Mr [redacted] is dissatisfied. Rainbow Septic stands by the services performed. Please let us know if we can provide further information.
