Stay away. Read the web reviews on this business and you will see the majority of people have had bad experiences. Don't be fooled by their "28 years in business" bravado.

Review: Took receiver in for diagnosis (which costs $85) and was told low voltage regulator was out and would cost $270 to fix. Receiver cost less than that so I took it back and then discovered it was covered under warranty Sent it to factory authorized dealer who discovered a wire was loose, fixed it in five minutes, and when I asked if low voltage regulator was out, technician said it was fine and obviously just a wire. When I called Rainbow to explain and ask what they could do, a woman who said she was the owner said they couldn't do anything and it was just too bad.Desired Settlement: Since they overlooked an obvious problem that could have easily been rectified while they had the receiver apart, and then required me to spend more time and money to fix somewhere else, a refund for at least the postal charges ($20) would be fair, if not a full refund ($85) to cover the time and expense I have incurred addressing this mishap created by them.

When Mr. [redacted] brought his receiver in for diagnosis, we explained our policy. We charge $85.00 for a diagnostic. The diagnostic fee is non refundable. We would call him with an estimate including parts and the labor and the $85.00 would be applied to the repair. At the time the unit was brought in, we had a two week backlog. However we expedited the estimate per his request as he was in a rush. We provided Mr. [redacted] with the estimate which he then declined due to cost.
