Review: I visited this establishment on 04/**/2014 in the company of my friends. My friends were allowed to enter however I was stoped and asked to put my jacket in coatcheck. I paid a $5.00 for them to hold my jacket, which I could not understand because it was a Sunday night and there was about 30 people in the club. Before the night was over there was a fight and everyone ran out including myself, leaving a Jacket in the coatcheck. The police advised everyone to leave and the bouncers would not let anyone back in the club. The next day the club opened would be Thursday [redacted], I showed up for my coat, I spoke with [redacted] who check for the jacket and it was not to be found. He gave me his number and [redacted]s number and assured me that they will look into it and get back to me. While I was there I saw the hanger with the other half of the ticket # 299 which was empty. A week past and no one got back to me so I call [redacted] who said that he will get to the bottom of it. I waited another week with no reply, then I texted him asking about reimburstment for my jacket, at this point he started telling me that he is not reponsible for items left and he also said that that ticket # does not exist. In the end I was force to pay a fee for a service that I did not need at the time and did not receive because they lost my jacket, now they will not take any responsibility for my property that they lost. If they had left me with my coat we would not be having this problem. This jacket was a gift from my daughter and her ex boyfriend who paid cash for it and as much as I would like it replaced it would mean much more to me if something can be done so this does not happen to anyone else. Is there a law that says a person has to leave there jacket in coatcheck and if there is then people's property should be properly protected.Desired Settlement: I want my jacket replaced and I would also like for rules to be placed in regards to coatcheck so this does not happen to anyone else. This establishment has recently placed a sign stating that coat check is voluntary and If a person wishes to leave their coat the company would not be held responsible for items. However when I was there it was manditory for me to leave my jacket. My point is if they are going to force me to leave my property then it should of been protected not lost.
