Review: I took my car to the shop because the breaks were squeaking, [redacted], the owner told me the right rotar and brake pad had to be changed and charged me $250, he showed me a disc with nicks in it and told me that was why it was squeaking. A day or two later the brakes started to speak again so I brought it back and then he said it was the left side that needed to be changed and the part usually cost him $70 but he would do it for free. The squeaking persisted to I went to another shop and was told it was the front brakes, the same brakes [redacted] said he changed. The mechanic showed me the rotar disc on both sides that still had nicks and told me they either were never changed or were not new. I also was charged $250 to change both sides for the rotars and break pads as where [redacted] charged me that for one side. I also was receiving text messages from him hitting on me, which I continued to decline. There was no level of professionalism and he lied about fixing something he did not fix and charged me for it.Desired Settlement: $250.00

Review: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I took the car back 2 days after the breaks were done and told [redacted] about the squeaking and asked why. He said he fixed the right side and not the left and I asked why he would do that and he said to save me money. I came in with the complaint of please check the breaks because there is squeaking, I do not think he drove the car after he fixed it otherwise he would have heard the continued squeaking. Stating that he did the left side for free after I came back two days later means nothing because it should have been replaced to begin with if he knew it was not good and I would have to have it replaced anyway. My Mother was in Hospice at the time and it was inconvenient to keep running back to him with the car, which he was aware of. She has recently passed away and that is when I took the car to another mechanic to let them check and he showed me the discs and the knicks, which is a problem if they were just replaced by [redacted]. Why I would be the one to have the old parts I don't know, a customer does not take the old parts home with them. I went out while the car was on the lift and he showed me the discs that he took off, which the tires were off the car and the discs when it was on the lift. I am attaching the invoice and receipt, I have marked the break section as I also had new tires put on at the same time that were included in the bill. I am looking for a refund in the amount of $250 that [redacted] charged me for one rotar and break pad that did not work as where I was charged way less for replacment of two. I also don't want [redacted] harrassing the new mechanic as I still am using him for my regular service and don't want him haggled for reporting what he saw.
