I am writing in reference to the complaint ID # [redacted]. This is the first letter I have received from the Revdex.com and it was received on 11/ 10/2016.
In response to [redacted]'s complaint: We prorate our water bills based on when a tenant or owner moves out of the residence. The service request...
shows a move out date of 8/ 31/2016. Her bill was prorated based upon 11 days. Our billing cycle is the 20th of the month through the 21st of the next month. The previous two bills were $91.57 for August 20th bill and $117.49 for the July 20th, 2016 bill. The $30.34 is approximately 1/3 of those or less. I have attached a copy of her charges and how it is split out for the past several months. There is a base on these properties of $59.17 and the water / sewer use is added to that. We average the sewer use so our customers are not charged sewer rates in the summer when they irrigate.
I called [redacted] today as I had not spoken to her prior to this. I wanted to offer to reduce her bill but she said she had sent it in and did not want to discuss this any further and hung up. I can adjust her water use charge if she still has further issues. The $30.34 was not just for water use, it is a prorated portion of the base charges and debt service that are billed every month. We are a small office and sometimes more than one person handles these types of phone calls as I am not here every day. We apologize for any confusion. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Val N[redacted]
