Rabbit Hole, The

It was my first experience at this restaurant on Saturday, June 20, 2015 and my friends and I explained to the server/waitress I have an allergy to shellfish. She then explained to us that certain items on the menu does not contain shellfish. We also asked if certain food items were fried in the same area as shellfish she says yes and we did not choose those appetizers. The one item she suggested does not contain shellfish and we specifically asked if this one is fried as well not using a fryer but fried in the same pan she says no. I do not believe the server and or cook was informed correctly. I am upset at the level of training at this restaurant. For shellfish allergies you do not have to have shellfish in it but if you use the same pans/surface that is when cross contamination occurs. You have to physically use a pan where seafood has not been used or wash with soap and water. Your staff needs to retrain in sanitation. My family and friends will not be returning there.
