We gave him an estimate at the beginning, thinking we could use the same door casing and locks, but when we got there, it needed more parts, increasing his estimate. It needed a new door casing and extra locks. It is called an estimate for a...
reason, meaning that this price is approximately what it would cost, but since it needed more parts, it would cost more. We ended up not charging him for the extras, honoring his estimate. I sent him the receipt in the mail on Monday. We had a heavy work load because of the flooding at the time, so forgot to send it to him immediately - I will admit we are at fault for this.
