We purchased a HAVAC unit from R&E Michel and within 3 months of usage the unit stop working. As you can see, I live in the South and summer temperatures rise up to 100 degrees which makes it impossible to stay in a dwelling without air conditioning. R&E Michel is refusing to discuss this issue with me, the consumer, and states they only discuss parts and service with the contractor. My contractor does not have the vested interest in this matter as I do, because my family and I are the ones that cannot live in our home due to a failed HAVAC unit that only work for 3 months. R&E Michel refuses to replace the defected unit that they sold to me, stating the warranty only cover replacement parts. I contacted the manufacture of the unit [redacted] that I also wish to name in this complaint and they are unwilling to help. We are not a retail business, therefore we deal direct with HVAC contractors. In this matter, the part that was needed was on back order from the vendor, however we were able to expedit the part in need and get it ship to our location. This part has been at the location on [redacted] Rd since 9/20/13. We have made a number of attempts to contact the contractor that contact us about this situation. But after leaving a number of messages we have not heard or seen this contarctor.We apoligize to the homeowner for any misunderstanding I would like to resolve this complaint as soon as possible.
