R&B construction was hired to build a shop and complete all items. He never completed the shop after 7 months and stole $5700 from me, the owner.
Rick Brossett, owner of R&B Construction, was hired on July 27, 2018. Rick Brossett and I, *** R, signed a contract on the above date at the *** Law Firm located in Tyler, TX. On this date Rick Brossett said he would also need funds to put a driveway in for concrete trucks. These funds were outside the original contract. R&B construction was paid by check $4200.00 for a lime stone drive way and $1500.00 for a RV concrete pad to be installed outside the original contract on July 27,2018. These items were never constructed and/or installed. I began asking for my money back on September 15, 2018. R&B construction never returned my money or installed these items. After 7 months of construction the shop has yet to be completed (interior rooms, exterior patio, concrete driveways). Rick Brossett R&B construction was removed from the project and the contract was terminated on February 4,2019 due to no activity of work being completed. I have asked Rick Brossett many times to get the job completed in the last 7 months and he has had multiple excuses during this time frame and has yet to complete the project. I financed the job through *** (Tyler, TX) and all events have been recorded in detail from start of project. I would like to protect future costumers from this contractor. Rick Brossett will promise you the world and end up just taking your money.
I would like for my $5700.00 to be refunded and make sure no future consumers are harmed or taken advantage of. Rick Brossett is a scam artist and contractors like him should have their liscense removed.
Revdex.com Comment Business Response:
He wanted a steel building built. It takes a while to get built. With the rain it took a little longer. He built it in a pasture. It was difficult for me to get trucks in there, as a contractor I have other jobs. He wanted me be there when he wanted me too. He eventually wanted his 5700 dollars back and I paid his money back. He has been paid. He did tell me he did get the money back. He does have new contractor now. I went into the bank this morning to get a release from this job.
