Review: I called three auto garages closest to my house trying to get my overheating car looked at and they were all full. The third garage I called gave me a number of a new place starting up that could look at my vehicle right away. I talked to the owner and he said to bring it over so he could look at it. After I dropped it off he called me the next day and said engine needed some pretty major repairs, but he could do them. After having my car over a month someone called and said it was repaired, but when I showed up to get it I was told that it still needed work. Later that week I received another call saying that my car was finished. When I arrived to pick it up no one was there. I waited for fifteen minuets or so after calling what I figured now to be the owners cell phone and someone finally arrived. He charged $2159.00 for the repairs, $500.00 over what was estimated to me, and took my credit card information to the owner over the phone. I did get a receipt for the work done but not for the card payment. My car drove home fine, but at the time I was on crutches so I was unable to drive myself for several weeks. When I did start to drive my car only ran for five days and maybe 50 miles before breaking down 45 mins away from home. I called to and talked to the garage owner and he said not to worry that they would pick it up and look at it, he said he would call back when he got to the shop to get its location. Not only did he not call back, but he didn't answer or respond to numerous calls and voice mails for two weeks. I stopped by the garage several times and found the the place locked and cleaned out. The owner of the lot where my car was broken down called me and told me he wanted it moved, so the next day I had it towed to the closest garage costing $44.00. They tore the engine apart and told me what was wrong. The repairs R and R made didn't last a week and all needed to be replaced. Instead I have decided to sell the car for salvage.Desired Settlement: Refund money and reimbursement for towing fee and other garage labor charge.
