Review: I Had [redacted] come to my house and look at my husbands truck for an estimate on how much it would cost to have my husbands break lines repaired and to have an inspection sticker put on the truck. He told me looking at the truck im gonna say 1,000 dollars and that is an high estimate but it will be less than that but I just want to shoot high to be safe. I asked him twice if he is sure and can guarantee me that it won t be more than 1,000 dollars because my husband and I couldn't afford more than that at this time and he said he could. We sent up a payment plan of $500 down and $250 every two weeks when we got paid till bill was plaid off and we could take the truck home when the repair job was done and continue making payments. He came and towed the vehicle to his garage and I gave him $250 and that time and told him I would give him more when we cot paid. I gave him another $250 and the truck is done and he refused to let me take the truck home now until the truck is completely paid for. the bill is #[redacted] - 500.00. He totally lied about the price and never called to let us know the price was gonna be more and now is not sticking to his verbal aggreement of the payment arrangement. What can we do to fix this situation and hold him accountable to his verbal agreement.Desired Settlement: Have him let us take the truck home and stick to his verbal agreement of the payment arrangement he made with us.

This is regards to complaint # [redacted]. I am sorry that I have not
responded before this. I never received the first letter. I told
her the bill might be $1,000, maybe more and if she really wanted it
done I needed $500.00 up front to start. She said that wouldn't be a
problem because her income tax would be here soon. I towed the truck
to my shop in March. She never paid anything until I started working
on the truck in April. I started in on the truck as she promised to
pay in a week or so. April 21 she paid only $250.00, not the
original $500.00 that was agreed on. It didn't take two weeks to fix
her truck and it was all normal stuff for brakes. The truck had sat
for two years. By the time the truck was done, if she had made the
regular payments the bill would have been close to being paid in
full. I kept trying to talk to her in the store that she works at
about the truck and the payment. She said that her whole family
moved in with her and no one was working but her. After the truck
was done, she tried to get a windshield put in by the glass company
and charge it to me. The glass company wouldn't do it until she paid
them in full. I smelled a rat, she had not upheld her agreement. I
realized that she would never make good on her word. It took her two
payments to make the down payment of $500. I made a mistake and only
charged her credit card $2.50 and not $250.00. I told her the next
day and she said,"Oh well." She made me wait until the 14th of May
to pay the rest of the $250.00 payment. I made the mistake on May
9th. That is when she realized I wouldn't put an inspection sticker
on the vehicle and she got mad. The truck and the whole story has
been going on since early winter and she texted me for updates
constantly. She has only paid $650.00 on the bill and it has been
here since March. I see her every day at the store and she knew the
brakes were going to cost more. She also knew the truck needed a
windshield. I know I couldn't trust her to pay the rest of the bill
if the truck left the yard. I've only known her since last fall or
so.
Thank you for your time. If you have any other questions or concerns
please let us know.

The truck didn't sit for two years at all that is complete [redacted]! And he never came into my work and gave me any updates on the truck at all you can even ask my coworkers as we'll they will tell you he has never come in the store to talk to me. He avoided me at all costs. He hasn't stuck to his agree ten and never told me it would cost more than 1000 if he has have gotten he truck don by him. This is in regards to complaint # [redacted]. I am attaching a copy of
her statement of payments. As you can see, she has only paid
$850.00. She has NOT kept her word on the payments. The last
payment she brought in was two different checks of $100.00 each, so
she was short $50.00. The payment on May 27, 2014 was only $150.00
not the $250.00, so she was short $100.00 on that payment. If she
had made the original downpayment of the $500.00 when the truck was
brought here in March, 2014 and made the payments of the $250.00
every two weeks she would have paid around $1750.00 not only $850.00.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thank you.
