Review: At the end of July I hired R & A Home Improvements to repair and replace my roof due to damage from SUper Storm Sandy. I was given a contract for $10,000 and asked for a $2500 deposit. Work was to begin 5 days later depending on weather conditions. They did not show and I assumed it was because rain was possible. After another week I called and [redacted] informed me he will not be doing the job because it was nit profitable enough. I asked for a refund and he claimed he needed more time to get my money as the check was already cashed. It has been two months and he does not answer or respond to over 100 calls and messages. I filed a complaint with the district attorney and consumer affairs and still no refund or response.Desired Settlement: I would just like the $2500 returned.
