Business provided a quote for services (new ridge vent, fix flashing in roof valleys, etc) in November 2009. Services were contracted to address leaking issues we had experienced. Occupant of residence provided verbal confirmation to contractor to go ahead with work per estimate, but never provided copy of signed documents (no written contract in place). No further response was received from contractor over the course of the next eight months, leading us to believe that there must have been some miscommunication, and we declined to contact the contractor further. Contractor showed up unexpectedly in July 2010 to perform the work (one day), and we were informed that the contact we had initially spoken with ([redacted]) would come to our home to review the work and address any questions or follow up issues as necessary. In March 2011, we still hadn't received a follow up visit or even a call from Mr. [redacted], and the roof began to leak again in the same location as prior to the repairs. In April 2011, Mr. [redacted] contacted the occupant whom had originally authorized the repairs, at which point he was informed that we still had issues with leaking that would need to be addressed. Mr. [redacted] noted that he would come out to look at the roof. Over a year later, in May 2012, the occupant who had authorized the repairs again received a call from Mr. [redacted], who noted that he had been busy (!!) and was now available to look at the roof. He was informed that, because of additional wind damage to the roof earlier in 2012, the roof was now largely covered in tarps (including the replaced ridge vent), and that he wouldn't be able to take a thorough look at the prior repairs. When Mr. [redacted] was told that he should meet with the homeowner (myself) directly to discuss the situation, he became somewhat confrontational with the occupant and appeared to be unwilling to do so. Later that week (5/26/12), we received a bill for the roof repairs. I left a message with Haitz that same day demanding an explanation, but my call has not been returned. It was approximately 2 years & 7 months from the start of the process (quote) through the receipt of the bill, which is entirely unreasonable and unprofessional. Furthermore, the problem that should have been addressed still exists. Mr. [redacted] was aware that the problem existed, yet did not make a good faith effort to address the problem. Due to the additional damage this year, I am in the process of having my roof replaced.
