To Whom It May Concern:
On 04/**/2014, I sent tank number [redacted] with invoice # [redacted] to the Dominican Republic through the Quisqueya shipping company. The Quisqueya shipping company is located at [redacted] The Quisqueya shipping business phone number is ###-###-####. The tank that I sent was full with food for my grandson and me. When I arrived in the Dominican Republic on April, [redacted] 2014, I called the Quisqueya shipping company to have them deliver the tank to my home on 04/**/2014.
Unfortunately, when the tank arrived to my place of residence it arrived empty. The lock on the tank was broken and the tank itself was damaged. I immediately called the shipping company in Dominican Republic and the New York City to make a formal complaint regarding my delivery. I spoke to a woman by the name of [redacted] at the shipping company in New York City. According, to the shipping company in Dominican Republic all complaints had to be filed with the shipping company in New York City. [redacted] is the person in charge of handling all complaints made at the New York City branch located at [redacted].
According to [redacted], she stated that it would take about four weeks for them to investigate the matter in question. My daughter [redacted] also called [redacted] on 04/**/2014 at 1:57 PM to question her about the shipment and make a formal complaint and was told that it will take about four weeks to investigate. My daughter also informed me that [redacted] was extremely rude and aggressive when asked about the situation that occurred with my shipment. During the conversation with [redacted], my daughter informed her that she has the Power of Attorney to represent me.
My daughter and I are just trying to get my money back for all the food that was stolen, shipping expenses and the tank that I had to purchase for shipment. I am highly disappointed by the theft that occurred and the unprofessional matter my daughter and have been treated upon making a claim regarding my shipment that never arrived. What is even more disappointing to me is that now I have to wait a month to get my food replaced. This is food that I bought in order to feed my grandson and myself. This shipping company has handled this very serious matter in an unprofessional matter and I wish for this very serious matter to be resolved as soon as possible.
Thank you, [redacted] Cc: [redacted]Desired Settlement: My Desired Outcome is that I would like a full refund for the food, shipping and tank that I paid for. A total of 555.00 which is for 400.00 dollars in food, 35 dollars for the tank and 120.00 dollars for the shipping, Also for this issue not to be repeat with another family.
