This outfit should be renamed to Quick and Dirty Turf, because that's the type of subpar workmanship you can expect from these hacks (Tony C and his crew) who obviously take zero pride in what they do and is devoid of moral principles to charge for service this bad. What should of been a happy day quickly turned into vomit when I saw their finished product as he was just about getting ready to leave the job site. I literally felt sick to the stomach. Here is just a small list of my grievances:
1. Didn't even have *** to use galvanized nails. The nails they used literally rusted the next day and I had to pull them out by the hundreds ***. They just hammered at will without even spreading out the carpet threads.
2. They don't know how to join seems on the turf if their life depended on it. The lines are so obvious and the best they could do is offer excuses and try to convince me this is how it "should" look. This is his favorite thing to do is to make excuses for his *** workmanship ***
3. They must be cutting the carpet with a spoon, the edges are literally sticking out and they tried to cover up for mistakes by basically putting broken pieces on the edge with more rusty nails on them.
4. Left all their garbage behind, even take out boxes from their lunch
5. Took tools belonging to my father with them
I could of done a better job if I had the time. But I just didn't think anyone can have such low standards to be turning this kind of disaster and call themselves professionals. Please avoid these guys like the plague and go with someone reputable ***, even if it means you have to wait for a month or two.
Hello ***.
Firstly I must thank you for taking your time to review. It is always essential for a business to take criticisms to heart and learn from them.
To bring back the context of our project, the site was in your back yard. You wanted artificial grass installed on a box created by you with road base that you provided. You also provided me information that there was a certain point where the materials would be less than 4 inches deep (and proven on site when I tried to nail 3 1/4 inch nails and failed to do so). Therefore, some nails had to be cut even shorter. Underneath would be concrete.
So right away, we both knew there are limitations of the project. Furthermore at the tip end by the shed there are no proper retainers for the road base to be kept in place.
Now lets address your points.
1) The nails need to be rusted in. Even with a normal project where 5 or 6 inch nails are to be put down, the rust reinforces the grip and anchors the turf down. This is a good thing.
2) I cannot argue with seams as it is a he-said she said scenario. I accept that I did not meet your standards and I offered to come fix it. However, you never replied to me upon the offer. At no given time did I shy away from offering remedies.
3) I will admit I have made a mistake with a part of the side cut. It does happen and I do apologize for it. Normally when a piece is shaved off too much it is remedied by inserting staples with a smaller piece. We did not have such liberties. The staples are 5 inches long. It would have hit the concrete at 3 inches.
4) One of your family members said they like to keep the excess turf. The photo you provided, I must say, is not very generous of our clean up. Majority of the turf were placed in garbage bags and all of the excess turf was stacked under your stairway neatly before we left.
5) I do not believe I have anything that belongs to you. If there are tools missing in your inventory, please let me know and I will return it if I took it by mistake.
Once again I thank you for your review.
If only Revdex.com allows me to post pictures of your work, it will bring everything to light. After what I saw I just want you off my property. Like I said, if you're only as good at your work as you are at making excuses maybe this would of been a different outcome. If I can spare another innocent person from being taken by a hack like you then I would have done my one good deed for the year.
