Review: In a temporary cash, I visited Quik Cash Pawnbroker, Inc. and I pawn some jewelries not for resale for $400. I was to pay back in a month with a fee of $60. Unfortunately, I misplaced the ticket given to me. I called the pawn shop and I was told they will hold for me. As I was cleaning on Saturday, Feb 1, 2014, I came across the ticket in a notebook and I reviewed to find out the due date and I noticed the due date was Jan 14, 2014. I quickly rushed over to renew the pawn and I was informed the jewelries have been forfeited. I immediately asked who to speak with and the man who attended to me provide me the manager/owner name, [redacted]. I was originally informed he will be there today, Feb 3, 2014, I have already placed 3 calls and I can't get a hold of him. I informed the lady who picked up the phone to provide me his number and she said she couldn't do that. Then, I suggested that he calls him on his cell and inform him that a customer wants to speak with him urgently and she also refuses. She informed that he will be there between 6pm and 7pm after giving some run around earlier. Anyway, these jewelries are of sentimental value to me because they are my mom's who is no longer with us. This is very painful because of the value of the jewelries which amounts to 13.7g of 18k gold and 6.5g of 14k gold. The $400 I borrowed plus $60 fee is not worth losing these jewelries that I only have of my mother. The worst is that I can get a hold of this man. He may be trying to buy time to make me lose those jewelries completely.Desired Settlement: I want to get my jewelries and pay the amount I owe them. In this case, no one loses. As long as I live, I would not be involved with pawn again.
