Business responded. The owner WAS given a price to do the job before the job was started. He is just tring to make up stuffso he feels like a man. He states that I primed over the wallpaper butagain he knows nothing. I oil primedover the paper backing to seal it in so the walls could be fixed theright way. He needs to get his facts straight beforeopening his mouth.Ron Crum
Mr. Crum has not addressed the elements of the complaint. I appreciate the efforts of the Revdex.com, but it is clear that Mr. Crum shows no willingness to resolve the situation. I recommend that potential customers review Ohio's Home Solicitation Sales Act to understand their rights in dealing with contractors like this.
Business responded to complaint. Joseph Walker interior painting jobI was ask by the customer to do some work at thier houre in the foyer area. To remove the wallpaper paint theceiling and walls and trim. when taking the wallpaper off the walls ( WERE NOT SIZED ) SOMEONE JUSTA THIN...
COAT OF VARNISH ON BEAR DRYWALL. Because of this the paper backing was not coming offwithout major damage to the walls. hich the walls were in very bad condition withour making more. The walls needed to be sanded down and oiled primed then skim coated twice and re oil primed before anything else could be done finish wise. The origanal price was 1600.00 with 800l.00 down for material and funds to start the job.The total cost to fix the walls to make them perfect like new drywall was 1340.00 which the owner didnt want to paythat much and I asked him well how much did you think it would cost to fix the walls and he said 200.00 HAHA thatwouldnt cover the oil primer to do the job. He said well do what upi can for the 1600.00 origanal cost. well with 400.00 to remove the paper and 400 to sand and oil prime the walls that 800.00. which 400.00 towards the 1340.00so another 800.00 would not even cover the prep cost to fix the walls. The man knows NOTHING about what neededdone and knows NOTHING on how to remove wallpaper. NOT ALL wallpaper can be steamed off.as far as another contractor coming in and saying I dont know why he didnt steam the walls WELL he knows nothing. All these people had to do is work with me and the job would have been done with the best quailty workmanship around. This is my first complaint ever since I have been in business since 1982Ron Crum [email protected]
