My car (2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8L) hit 100,000 miles and needed to get the timing belt replaced. I originally brought it to a friend who has expirence with cars and he was able to change the belt. I purchased $150.00 worth of parts and my friend handled the labor. Upon doing this he also replaced the oil, oil filter, and spark plugs along with a new timing belt( I still have the packaging in which the new parts came in and all the old parts that were replaced ).My friend had told me everything else was fine including the coil and senors.(He even had his friend who is a mechanic come and make sure everything was okay when doing the timing belt) I picked the car up once ready. When I picked the car up the check engine light was off. As I drove home the code P0017 came on for the cam shaft position sensor. I brought the car back to my friend for it to be re-done. Again, I picked the car up and the with the check engine light off and half way home it popped back up, same code P0017.

I later learned due the car’s cpu system, a special tool must be used for the 2014 chevy Cruze 1.8 L in order to time the belt correctly. With only Code P0017 now back on, I had the car towed to the Chevrolet dealership as I knew this was the only place that could put the new to in belt on correctly. The chevorlet dealership charged me $623.14 for the timing belt.
After picking up my car and driving it home, ( less than 1 mile away from the dealership) I let it sit for 2 weeks as I was studying for my NCLEX exam. When driving to the inspection station my car started shaking and the check engine light popped on and was blinking. The code this time is P0300 in which one of the causes is a cam shaft misalignment. (The same problem as P0013). They want me to now pay over $400to fix what they didn’t fix the 1st time claiming it is a separate issue. Just because I’m a woman does not mean they can take advantage

Purchased vehicle last year in August which came with free oil changes/tire rotation for life of ownership. Dealer service manager now refusing to honor this for no reason given. GM unable/ unwilling to assist with the matter.

the customer has come into the dealership on different occasions and acts verbally abusive to employees. he presents unrealistic expectations that cannot be achieved and becomes verbally abusive. he is no longer welcome in the dealership. we do offer our customers free oil changes only as a courtesy and since he is no longer our customer he will not get to benefit from our perks. also the dealership has been sold since he purchased his vehicle. he has free oil changes available from General Motors that he can use.

I am rejecting this response because: this was my first time to the dealership. unsure what unrealistic expectations were being referenced. they had my vehicle 6 hours for an oil change with no contact with any updates. If the new ownership cant honor the free oil changes which came as part of the lease agreement with the vehicle then they can terminate the lease back and refund back my payments.

the customer has been to the dealership 5 different times. the last repair attempt was scheduled for an oil change only and when he arrived he added 3 additional concerns which involved additional time to look into. both of my service advisors have had dealings with the customer and it seems we just cant make him happy. at this time we feel he would be better served at another dealer. and as I stated earlier he gets to free oil changes from the manufacturer. we will not have customers yelling and cursing at our employees.

Trying to get quote on a new vehicle and repeated run around and no calls back. Spoke to Frank General Sales manager who promised a call back next day and again nothing. MICKEY MOUSE BUSINESS! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
