I believe we as a dealership provide our consumers with the most up to date information we have from our manufacturerIn some situations the direction of the manufacturer may change from what had been there direction in the pastThis is unfortunate but we as a dealership have no way to forecast these future changesSo we continue to strive to get the most information available to our consumers and advise the manufacturer if situations arise where we find that the decisions made at a corporate level cause some dissatisfaction at the retail levelWith that said we have to rely on and follow the final decision made by General Motors in response to design enhancements We feel as a dealer we offered all we could to compensate for your dissatisfaction
Mr*** purchased his Chevrolet Spark EV knowing that it did not come with a DC fast charging provision at the time of purchase. My managers and sales staff shared with him that GM can develop and provide accessory packages for vehicles after they have been out in the market for
awhile. We are unable to know the exact time of these feature enhancements or if they will provide options in the future. Mr*** was fully aware that he purchased his Spark with no fast charge provision
General Motors has decided at this time to not provide a factory backed fast charge provision for models built before a certain date. Mr*** came back to our dealership and requested we try and trade him into a newer model with the fast charge provision, that option was explored and declined by Mr***. We are empathetic to Mr***'s anxiety issue but have no way of rectifying the situation unless General Motors provides a solution. We have attempted to help with his issue from a dealers prospective by supplying him with touch up paint and special vehicle decals at no extra charge
We feel that everything possible has been done for Mr*** from a dealers standpoint and are unable to resolve any other issues with the DC fast charge option
This dealership advertised a car for sale via True Car. Went to see vehicle, said it didn't exist, showed me a more expensive model. After several conversations with the salesmen and internet sales manager, decided to purchase vehicle. Spoke to the salesmen on Saturday morning. Confirmed car was there. Told him I would be there in one hour. Went to bank, got a check for down payment. Arrived at dealership to pick up car. Was told they didn't know what car I wanted, and they just sold it. Bait and switch!!! Deception. Original car still on their "Specials" website. I will never go back there. Worst car buying experience ever!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Although the response was accurate about miscommunication between corporate and dealership. I am still not satisfied with the service, information provided to me or the knowledge of the product! I would have made the decision to wait one month to have the DC FastCharging available to me. Like I have stated before, I needed the DC FastCharging Provisions and was misinformed at the time of purchase. This bantering back and forth just shows that Quality CHEVROLET is not willing to own up to there falt of misinformation. With that said, I believe in the saying... Baseball, Apple Pie & Chevrolet, and will purchase my next electric vehicle elsewhere!

Review: I purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV on November 1st 2013. I needed to purchase the vehicle with the option of having DC Fast Charging Provisions which would allow me to charge my vehicle within 20 min. I was told that option was not available at that time, but would be available soon for the sum of $1,500 for installation when it did come available.
One month after my purchase, I noticed that the same vehicle year and model had those Provisions installed and so I went back to Quality Chevrolet of Escondido Ca to discuss it further.
I received the same response by Mr. [redacted] stating that it was not offered yet. I decided to contact GM Customer Service ([redacted]) was his name. He told me the vehicles purchased before Dec 1st 2013 could not be retrofitted for the Fast Charge Provisions. I then went back to my dealer and spoke with [redacted] about my issue and he was shocked to hear that it was unable to be installed / retrofitted. I need the fast charge provisions in order to charge my vehicle without suffering from what we EV owners call Range Anxiety!
I told [redacted] I wanted to obtain a model that has this option and was told by [redacted] that I would have to take a large loss if I decided to go that route. I wanted to trade my vehicle (Evenly) for a model that has the fast charge provisions and [redacted] said that could not be done and that he was not at fault. He went on to say, that GM always comes out with upgrades and design changes all the time, and that he thought this would be one of those cases.
#1 He was wrong by assuming that. #2 He should have done his homework in regard to that comment. #3 [redacted] lied to me in the process by doing so!
I Love my new Chevrolet Spark EV and would not trade it for the world... other then having the DC Fast Charging Provisions so I can travel and be able to charge at will without waiting five hours to do so!
Needless to say, I have changed dealerships and now have Weseloh Chevrolet located in Carlsbad Ca as my preferred service provider for my vehicle. I did tell a sales consultant for Weseloh Chevrolet my concerns and the sales consultant said it should report this to my local Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Be able to trade my vehicle for another one, without loosing money!
