I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. But for the record, I want to be clear on a few points. According the original agreement, the company was to do the work for
$2,190 dollars and the wood was to be cut into fire place size pieces. I was charged $2,410 dollars the difference being $220
dollars for aggressive chains due to the an alleged metal pole being in
the tree, as my tree damaged their equipment. Upon the completion of
the job, there was no evidence of any metal piece in the tree. Additionally,
it was not until a month after the first visit they returned to complete the work. The
work was not done according to the agreement as the pieces were not fire place size. Some pieces being so large two people could not move or lift them. I had to hire another
person to come and chop up most of the remaining chunks of wood which cost and additional $60.00. I
rented a truck and had the wood hauled the wood away for an additional $42.00. As of this date,
most of the wood is gone and some larger pieces are still in my front
yard. I will get this taken care of by another person when the weather
permits and I have time to over see the work. I do not want any
additional contact with [redacted] or Quality 1 Tree Service. [redacted] has called me at my home at night asking me to resolve this complaint hence this filing. I have requested he not call anymore. As an note of comparison, [redacted] from [redacted] gave me a bid with grinding / removal of
the original tree for $2500. They did the neighbor's Oak tree across the street without incident. With the problems I have had getting this
tree removed, I regret I tried to save $310 and tried to business
locally. By the time I am finished, I will have spent more than if I went with [redacted].
Regards,
