I went to [redacted] to assist me with import of my dog to Australia. Issue was regarding application of monthly external parasite treatment, [redacted] applied 1st treatment (8/11/14, invoice #[redacted], attachment 1), I applied 2nd treatment at home per her directions (9/11/14), and 3rd treatment was applied at a final vet exam just before flight (23/9/14). Because I applied the 2nd treatment at home, there was no vet record of it and therefore this was considered a 'gap' in the treatment. My dog had to be re-treated, re-tested and spend an additional 8 days in quarantine and a repeat blood test leaving me out of pocket an additional $700 (US 593), not to mention putting my dog at risk of not being accepted into the country. [redacted] denies instructing me on how to apply the second treatment at home saying that she sent me home with it so that I could give it to the vet to apply at the final vet exam (which still would have left the same gap in treatment regardless). [redacted] was extremely unprofessional in dealing with this, refusing to answer my emails, then telling me I didn't have permission to call her by her first name (which had never been brought to my attention as an issue during the year I'd been working with her) and to leave her alone and deal with my own mistakes.Product_Or_Service: Vet help with importation of animalDesired SettlementI've requested to be reimbursed for my additional out of pocket expenses that were incurred as a result of oversight by the business. $593(USD).At the least, would like complaint listed under business for the reference of future customers.
