Review: I would like to file a complaint against a business entity claiming to be incorporated in the State of Delaware, with offices in New York City.

Facts of the case

On ** September 2013, I paid through my credit card the amount of USD 2,200, for an on line training program for qualified lawyers (Scholastic Prep Courses), to the company/business entity in question.The name of the business that appeared on my credit card statement was "Q..... INTERNATIONAL".

Regardless the inadequate quality of the training program, I realised yesterday that such corporation is not registered in the State of Delaware, although they falsely claim to be. Furthermore, when I asked them to refund me the initial amount of USD 2,200 that I have paid them back in September 2013, they declined to do so.

Below please find my recent correspondence (their reply dated 2 October 2014) with this business entity claiming to be "a registered corporation in the State of Delaware, USA", which is completely false:

Dear Sir,

[redacted] has passed your email over to me as I am the [redacted] Advantage . I understand your disappointment and of course the expense that you have incurred, but frankly, am stunned that you would expect that we have any legal liability to refund money to you.

I can call you to further discuss if you provide me with a telephone number and a good time next week. (To answer your specific questions: We are a registered corporation in the State of Delaware, USA. My title and contact information is below[redacted] and [redacted] Advantage [redacted] tel [redacted] fax [redacted] tel [redacted] fax [redacted] UNQUOTE

Following the abovementioned e-mail (dated * October 2014) I made an online search, through the registry of companies/business entities in the State of Delaware , for businesses under the name "Q........T INTERNATIONAL", or "Q........S INTERNATIONAL" or "Q........S ADVANTAGE" and no matches were found. (I have also official results sent to me ,by e-mail, from the relevant registry confirming that no businesses under such names exist in the State of Delaware).Desired Settlement: To refund the amount of USD 2,200 that I have already paid back to my VISA credit card. Furthermore, I reserve my rights against this bogus company/business entity for any other financial losses that I have suffered , as well as any other losses resulting from distress and inconvenience.
