My complaint is very similar to the previous Revdex.com complaint over Q1 Media from 2017. I added Q1 Media ad code to my websites and published their ads for several years, but was paid for it last in 2015. Their publisher agreement states that they pay publishers 60 days after the close of each calendar month. Over the years I have tried several times to contact the publisher payment department via their Hydra platform to request payment, but have received no answer. I found that odd, but I had full faith in the trustworthiness of the company and simply put it down to communication issues and since I have not needed the funds immediately, considered them safe in their keeping until paid.
Recently, I have found out that they have shut down their Hydra platform at the beginning of the year, with no e-mail warning to the publishers so that we could save our delivery statistics and handle any remaining payment issues beforehand. Q1 Media has also not provided any final reports to the publishers after discontinuing the Hydra platform and no e-mail notice to take down their ad code.
After a number of e-mails where Q1 Media took between several weeks to several months to respond, I have managed to establish a short burst of regular correspondence with them, only to be told that "per their records they have no outstanding balances remaining. Everything was paid in full." I have advised them that the last payment I received from them was in September of 2015 and that we have had their ad code up to the point when they shut down their publisher platform in 2019, that is another 3.5 years since their last issued payment. The balance owed to me is for roughly 3.5 years and amounts to between $6,000 to $10,000 -- I cannot provide the exact figure because Q1 Media has disabled access to the publisher statistics.
I have urged the company to investigate how they managed not to issue any payments to me for 3.5 years and erroneously arrive at the conclusion that "everything was paid in full", but have again received no response.
After looking up reviews for Q1 Media online, I see that issues regarding payment are a very common occurrence and that there are several other publishers who have not been paid by Q1 Media.
